About Dr. N. Michael Baddar, MD, MS, MPH
Trained in general medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School, Dr. Michael Baddar worked in the Emergency Room at Southampton Memorial Hospital in Franklin, where he regularly treated a wide range of occupational injuries, many of them from the local paper mill. The experience prompted him to pursue a Masters of Public Health in Occupational Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin.
With a dream of blanketing the Tidewater area with top-quality occupational medicine services, Dr. Baddar opened the first I & O Medical Center in Hampton in 1988 and subsequently established three additional clinics in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Newport News. Dr. Baddar is the Medical Director for Hampton Roads Urgent Care and is board-certified in General Medicine and Surgery and in Occupational Medicine.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Preventive Medicine, Occupational Medicine and a Diplomate of the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners.
